Park FAQ's

Question: Can PRPL help us to do a Volunteer or Community Service Project?

Answer: A number of volunteer projects are done in Billings' parks every year. Because of the staff time it takes and the cost of materials to do them, we are limited to 3 - 6 a year, depending on what the project will accomplish. It is best to contact the Superintendent of Parks, Gene Blackwell, and discuss the needs and possible projects available. Once a project is decided on, a letter will be provided approving the project. It will be that person's responsibility to develop the scope of the work to be done, research the materials and processes involved in doing it, and to plan, coordinate and implement the work. The timeline will be up to the person doing the project so at each stage it will be the responsibility of that person to contact the PRPL staff to let them know that it is ready to be moved forward to the next stage or to completion.
