This class will provide hands-on personal assistance in proper use of a compass with maps. Bring your compass - loaners also available. True north, magnetic north, setting declination values, and taking and using bearings will all be covered or practiced. Valuable class for those who use or plan to use barometric altimeters. Info. provided includes A to Z of elevation accuracy, GPS & altimeter values, and topo map variations.
