A day off from school is a great day to explore
the outdoors. Two great camps are offered on PIR
days this winter and spring. For both camps
students will need to bring warm walking boots,
warm jacket, hat and gloves, water bottle, and a
sack lunch.
Adapting to the Elements (Jan.18) -
nature exploration investigating the amazing
adaptations that allow plants and animals to
survive winter in Montana. We’ll wander through
the woods and follow the tracks of animals while
discovering the wintertime world. Students will
make their own plaster casts of an animal track
and a bird feeder to bring home.
Leap Into Spring (Apr.12) - birds will be
returning, leaves will be budding, and snow
should be melting. Spring is a time to
rediscover the lively outdoors. We will capture
the magic of spring in art. Each student will
make their own nature journal and then sketch,
draw, or paint their way into spring.
