Class instruction includes the basics of how to
fish streamers, nymphs and dry flies, as well as
how to tie the basic knots used by fly fishers.
Instruction will provide an overview of fly
fishing opportunities in the Billings areas as
well as the flies used to imitate the food fish
feed on. Part of the third session will provide
students an introduction to fly tying. The last
session will provide casting instruction as well
as how to catch and release fish properly.
Students will need to provide their own waders
and fly rods for the Saturday session.
Individual or small group instruction for stream
fishing will be available at no additional fee
by appointment with instructor during the spring
and summer. If weather is inclement casting
location is scheduled for North Park Gym (6th
Ave. N. & N.18th) otherwise, the session will be
at the Laurel pond.
