Billings Parks and Recreation is teaming up with
Parks Martial Arts in the Heights to offer a 6
week session of fall Martial-art classes for the
whole family. The class teaches a martial arts
discipline called Kyuki-Do. This mixed
martial art incorporates Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido &
Judo. Tae Kwon Do is a Korean variation of
Karate and will include foot and hand
techniques, forms and sparring. Hapkido is
a set of non-aggressive techniques using joint
locks and twists ideal for self defense.
Judo is a Japanese discipline that involves the
entire body and mind. Judo has many throws
and holds in order to control an opponent as
well as learning the art of break-falling.
Paulette DeLeonardo will be the instructor.
