Youth Pickelball
Boys and Girls ages 8-14

Summer 2006 |

Instructor: Larry Seekins
Learn this great new sport that is becoming
increasingly popular with youth and adults. It
is best described as half way between tennis &
ping-pong. It is played on a badminton sized
court divided by a 36” high net, so it adapts
well to tennis courts. Each player has a light
paddle and will learn shot strokes, techniques
and strategies of the game. It is a game for all
athletic abilities. The game was first played in
a backyard where their dog, named “Pickles”,
loved to chase and carry the ball away. Hence
the name: Pickleball.
